CNC Spinning
CNC (automatic) metal spinning is ideal for higher-volume production where precise, consistent tolerances are required.

Ardo Var specialises in CNC metal spinning and operates the latest Leifeld metal spinning lathes. As one of the few metal spinning companies offering a complete turnkey solution, we provide everything from in-house tooling manufacture and CAD design support to a wide range of value-added fabrication and finishing services.

We work with all common metals, including aluminium and mild steel, as well as more demanding materials such as stainless steel and Inconel.
CNC Tooling
Ardo Var offers a complete in-house metal spinning tooling service, allowing quick responses to new product requirements or design changes using precision CNC equipment and skilled toolmakers.

In metal spinning, a circular metal blank is spun at high speed and formed over a tool to create the desired shape. Tools can be made from wood, plastic, aluminium, or steel, depending on the material and production volume—often starting with wood for prototypes before switching to metal for larger runs.

Compared to processes like die-casting or stamping, metal spinning tooling is significantly faster and more cost-effective.
Hand Metal Spinning
Metal spinning is a versatile and cost-effective metal forming method. Ardo Var recommends considering spinning before more expensive processes like stamping or punching, especially for prototypes, low quantities, or short lead times.

The process forms a flat metal disc on a lathe into the desired shape by spinning it over a specially designed tool. It works with materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, and copper, often delivering higher quality and lower costs than stamping, deep drawing, or die casting.

Products often begin as hand-spun prototypes before moving to CNC spinning for larger production volumes.
CNC Bending & Laser Cutting Services
Ardo Var provides precision sheet metal bending and CNC laser cutting for complex and large-scale parts. Our CNC press brakes handle up to 8000 mm length and 20 mm thickness, ensuring strong, cost-effective bends that often outperform welding.

Our laser cutting capabilities reach up to 40 mm thickness with part sizes up to 8150 × 2600 mm and tolerances of ±0.1 mm. With both COâ‚‚ and fiber laser technologies, we select the optimal method for each material and design, also offering laser engraving and marking.
